Thomaston--A Great Place to Shop!
"A Great Place To Shop" began in 1997 as a way the Chamber of Commerce and the Chamber's Small Business Council could promote shopping locally. All Chamber members are invited to participate as redeeming merchants. Recipients of the gift certificates may redeem them for clothing, gift items, household items, furniture, collectibles, printing and film development, dental work, tires, groceries, pet needs at our local animal hospital, and much more.
There is NO COST to participating merchants who redeem the certificates (Chamber Bucks), but it is a GREAT WAY to get customers into your establishment to shop locally. Merchants simply return the redeemed certificates (Chamber Bucks) to the Chamber office and are reimbursed for the full face value. Participating merchants are listed in a brochure that is given with each certificate and also listed on our web site as "Locations to spend Shop Thomaston Certificates."
Local employers have used our gift certificates (Chamber Bucks) for holiday bonuses, employee incentives, and safety awards. They are also great gift ideas for graduation, door prizes, birthdays, coaches, holidays, and a well deserved Thank-You! Gift certificates are available in $10, $15, and $25 increments. However, we will do special printings for companies who purchase large quantities of certificates. This program has been a success for both the Chamber of Commerce and our local Small Business members.
